Work on markups

Verified for plugin version 0.2.0 · Navisworks 2024-2027Web app

The markup page is where markups are resolved and where solutions are accepted or refused. See The approval workflow for the states.

Everyone can read and comment. Who may do the rest depends on the role and the review: on an internal review the project admins accept, refuse and reopen; on an external review the project admins and the client do.

It shows the Details, the Source (web or Navisworks), the Viewpoint when there is one, and the Thread with every entry and its files.

Project admins and writers can raise a markup while the review is open: click Raise markup, enter the title, describe it, attach files if you like, and click Raise the markup. A markup raised on the web has no viewpoint, so the plugin’s Go to view button is unavailable for it in Navisworks.

Web app form for raising a markup

Under Add to the thread, the form offers only the kinds your role may write in the markup’s current state:

  • Comment: any state.

  • Propose a solution: a solution candidate, on an open markup. It needs at least one file.

Project admins can delete a markup with Delete this markup; its thread is kept. A closed review is read-only.

The markup is not in a state where that can be done. Someone changed it in the meantime: reload the page. See also What the plugin does not do.
