Link model items
Verified for plugin version 0.2.0 · Navisworks 2024-2027
Link model items to a markup so that everyone can find what it is about.
Who can do this
Section titled “Who can do this”An account that may create markups.

Select the items in the model, up to 1000. A group counts as one item, and everything inside it is linked.

Click New markup and click the point.

In the dialog, keep Link the selected item (and everything inside it) to this markup ticked. With several items selected the line names how many.

Click Create.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”When you select the markup later, its items are selected and coloured pink (RGB 255, 0, 128) for a moment. The colour is never saved into the model.

Items that were deleted from the model since are skipped without a message.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”The dialog explains when nothing will be linked:
- No items are selected, so none will be linked.
- None of the selected items can be linked.
- When more than 1000 items are selected, it says the limit and that none will be linked. Select fewer items or a group.
