Silent and company-wide install

Use the installer’s switches to roll Kroons out to many computers without any dialog.

Who can do this

An IT administrator. Installing for all users needs an elevated (administrator) session.

Install

For every user of the computer:

Kroons-<version>-setup.exe /VERYSILENT /ALLUSERS

For the current Windows user only:

Kroons-<version>-setup.exe /VERYSILENT /CURRENTUSER

/VERYSILENT shows nothing. /SILENT shows only a progress window.

Navisworks must be closed. If it is running, a silent install stops without installing and shows no message, because nobody is there to answer the prompt. Close Navisworks on the computer and run the installer again.

An install over an earlier version replaces it in place.

Check that it worked

The installer copies the plugin bundle kroons.Kroons.bundle into an Autodesk ApplicationPlugins folder:

current user	%AppData%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\kroons.Kroons.bundle

Use the existence of that folder as the detection rule in your deployment tool.

Uninstall

Run the uninstaller from the bundle folder:

unins000.exe /VERYSILENT

A silent uninstall keeps the saved logins on the computer. To remove them too, see Update and uninstall.

The installer is signed

Check the digital signature before you deploy: the publisher is Maintenance Data Services OÜ. On a build machine you can verify it with signtool verify /pa Kroons-<version>-setup.exe.
