The diagnostic log

Verified for plugin version 0.2.0 · Navisworks 2024-2027

The plugin keeps a small diagnostic log for support.

  • It is %LocalAppData%\Kroons\log.txt.
  • It holds ids and counts, such as which markup was opened and how many items were linked.
  • It is cleared when it grows past 256 KB.

Send it with a report

Section titled “Send it with a report”
  1. Close Navisworks, so that the log is complete.
  2. Open the folder: type %LocalAppData%\Kroons into the Explorer address bar.
  3. Attach log.txt to a mail to [SUPPORT_EMAIL is set at deploy time], with what you did, the message you saw and the details from Copy details in the About dialog.
